‘A Distant Pair of Eyes’: Jagged, tribal and mystical

I think the word ‘mystical’ can be applied to most of my art, in some degree. Don’t want too sound to egotistical there, but I reckon there’s a certain something about these pieces, regardless of technical proficiency. Something within them speaks to me (or else, I wouldn’t bother making them!). I always try to make art that satisfies one condition, first and foremost: to be something that I would like to look at. Everything else after that is just a bonus!

“There’s a beacon in the darkness / In a distant pair of eyes.” – Rush, Madrigal (from the LP A Farewell to Kings, 1977)
